Colt 1911 Game Model (Revised)

Another model from the vault of past goodies.  I originally made this 1911 model for a game idea where the player could customize and build their firearms and than use them at progressively more challenging shooting ranges.  Sort of a Hogan's Alley meets Gran Turismo.  The past renders I had of this asset were done with Maya's Mental Ray and not actually real-time as I had intended.  Now with current game engines and tools like Marmoset I am able to show off this pistol as it was meant to be seen.

Beretta M9 Game Model

A common favorite in the firearms world as well as the current military issued sidearm, the Beretta M9 is hands down the most iconic 9mm on the market today.  I had made a very low poly version of the M9 in my time at Cole Engineering, but wanted to make a FPS (higher poly) version of the pistol to better showcase my appreciation for this awesome firearm.

M14 Game Model

This is a model I started on awhile back but simply didn't get around to finishing until I found some time this week.  I love the Springfield Armory M1A and wanted to create a game model of it's original design, the M14.  Chambered in .308, the M14/M1A has been in service since WWII and is still looked at as one of the best semi-auto rifles on the market today.  It's like the 1911 of the rifle world.

Youtube channel Ebomey ( http://www.youtube.com/user/ebomey ) had a contest for a new logo and this was my entry.  I didn't win, but he has used it for some of his intro/outros on some of his recent videos which is pretty cool.  I am just happy to be getting more experience and reason to continue making these types of logos for firearm related channels and organizations and I've met some great people and even made some good friends in the process.

Beretta 90-Two Modern Art Piece

So trying something a little different with this one.  I wanted to do something that was a bit more of a modern art piece, and I wanted to do it in grey-scale with only red being the accent color. Being how this was my attempt at "modern" art, I thought I'd go with a handgun I have always loved the look of, the Beretta 90-Two.  Looking like something out of Halo, the Beretta 90-Two was an attempt to make a more modern, stylish and light weight version of the famous Beretta 92/96 series.  It was available in both 9mm and .40s&w but sadly didn't catch on and Beretta stopped producing the pistol.  Even though this design was short lived, I'm a big fan of the Beretta 90-Two and was happy to make an art piece dedicated to it.

Glock 21

I was planning on only doing 3 of these, but then I realized I hadn't done a Glock yet, and I can't be leaving out "Glock Perfection"!  This is the awesome Glock 21 chambered in .45acp.  This is Glock's full size .45 and one of their larger and more aggressive models which is used by many law enforcement agencies nation wide.  ...it is also my personal go to gun for both home defense and carry.  Something that really makes the G21 stand out above some other .45's out there is it's capacity.  With a 13+1 capacity you'd be hard pressed to find a better .45 for your money.  This is the gun I have shot above all others and to this day, I have yet to have a failure or malfunction of any kind.

Remington 1911

Here is another addition to my handgun digital painting series!  It's hard to get too much of a good thing, so I decided to do another 1911, this time going with a very classic style Remington.  Chambered in .45acp, the Remington 1911 R1 is a throwback to the Colt 1911 that started it all.  Smooth straight lines and wooden grips, this is a total classic and a real tribute to the original 1911.

Beretta Px4 Storm

Another digital painting to add to my gun series!  This is Beretta's Px4 Storm full size pistol with a two tone finish that Beretta calls the "Inox".   The Px4 has been growing in popularity and is the polymer replacement for it's older brother, the Beretta 8000 (Cougar).  The Px4 comes in 3 different sizes (full, compact, and subcompact) and 3 different calibers (9mm, .40s&w and .45acp), so there is a model that works for everyone.  If you are on the market for a polymer pistol, make sure you don't overlook the Px4 as a possible option, they are reliable and very attractive handguns.

Taurus Protector

I really like the "Drawn with Lead 1911" digital painting I did last year, and Jess was telling me the other day that I should do some more guns in a similar fashion.  She also didn't hesitate to drop the Taurus Protector as a possible choice for my next gun painting as it's probably going to be my wife's first handgun.  So my love, this one's for you!!  I am so lucky to have a wife that supports my hobbies and my beliefs the way you do, I love you darl'n!!!

Glock 30 Concepts

Here are a few variations of what I might do if I pick up a Glock 30 down the road.  I made it tan being how I'm strongly considering going with a tan and black two tone with my Mossberg 500, so I figure it may be cool to have them match.  This concept is based of the Gen 3 Glock 30 design.

The Glock 30 is chambered in .45acp, has a 3.78" barrel, weighs 23.99 oz and has a 10+1 capacity.

There is a ton of information out there on the Glock pistols and I already have one in my collection which is currently my carry gun and I'm excited to get another one at some point.  Although there are arguably better polymer handguns on the market, the Glock has been proven tough and able to perform under almost all conditions and for the money they are a great choice for an EDC weapon or nightstand gun.

Glock 21 Propaganda Poster

Just for fun!  A propaganda poster to honor my EDC pistol, the Glock 21.  Talk about a weapon that grows on you with use, I love my G21.

1911 Competition Shooter

Was in the mood to do something a bit more comic book illustration style this weekend and ended up creating this image of a competition shooter.  It was a fun drawing and I'm still teaching myself new things all the time which is always good.

Colt 1911A1

Haven't posted any new 3D in quite awhile, so I felt it was due time to dust off my 3D software and put something out.

This is a Colt 1911 that I built as a level 0 game model.  I wanted to start off with the classic version that was used in WWII  but I also plan to change out some of the parts and make a few other variants of this classic firearm.  Please feel free to leave comments with any suggestions to what 1911 you think would make a cool game model and maybe I'll do that one next.   Appreciate anyone who participates.

1911 Concept

Digital painting of a "Drawn with Lead" edition 1911.  Been watching American Guns and I always enjoy seeing the cool customized hand guns they make for their customers...I guess you could say this might be what I'd have them make me if I was every so inclined. ;)
